In the summer of 2023 I was invited to participate in a study abroad program to Eastern Europe to learn about post-war environments and how they build community despite the recent but harsh war of the 1990s. I got to travel the entirety of the country, cruising up the coast and along the island of Krk. I even took an island boat cruise and got to swim in the Adriatic Sea.
