about the artist

Hello, my name is Julian (he/they), and I'm a film photographer from southern Indiana. My love for film began in the darkroom of my teenage years and has since become a central part of my life. I enjoy shooting local surroundings, travel photography, and event photography. I feel the unique importance of capturing current events for future eyes to see.

Collecting battered film cameras has been an interest of mine, as a kid who grew up in small-town Indiana, with flea market galore all around me. I appreciate the unique character they bring to my work. Nature, vehicles, fashion, and architecture are my photographic interests.

As a queer and trans artist, it feels important to me to use my talent and interest to document current queer events and joy, particularly to archive for future eyes to see. It is my hope that my trans + midwest point of view will enrich your life in some way.
